Dr. Julia Zitz
Dr. Zitz graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After graduation, she did her internship at the Animal Medical Center of NYC which specialized in small Animal Medicine/Surgery from 2003-2004.
She then went on to The Ohio State University where she completed her small animal surgical residency and masters in 2007, with diplomate status in 2011. Following college at Duke University and prior to veterinary school, Dr. Zitz also did cancer research at Brigham and Womens' hospital, diabetes research at Joslin's diabetes center and neurobiology research at Harvard. Dr. Zitz worked as a veterinary surgeon for the last 9 years before joining our team.
When not in the hospital, Dr. Zitz resides in Ipswich, MA, and loves to sail, and ski, as well as play tennis and golf with her husband and 2 dogs.
