AMCNE is member of AAHA, a distinction given to only 17% of veterinary hospitals in the United States.
www.caninecompanions.org – Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. There are excellent volunteer opportunities available at CCI where you may choose to participate in special events or even raise a puppy!
www.deltasociety.org – The goal of the Delta Society is to improve the human health condition through service and therapy animals. Volunteers and their pets are trained in very rewarding animal-assisted activities which are both educational and motivational. Volunteers will visit nursing homes, schools, and residential facilities where animal interaction has been shown to improve the physical and mental health of participants.
