Dr. Kintzer completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at Cornell University. After serving an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York, Dr. Kintzer conducted Postdoctoral
Research at NYS College of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Georgia,
and completed a Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Tufts University. Dr. Kintzer was awarded the status of Diplomate ACVIM in 1991.
In additional to being published in numerous veterinary journals, Dr. Kintzer has authored textbooks that inlcude Current Veterinary Therapy X, XI, XII, X111, and XI; Saunders Manual of Small Animal Practice; and BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Endocrinology. He has been a favored lecturer at numerous veterinary conferences with upcoming lectures scheduled at the AVMA meeting in Seattle, Washingon in July of 2009. His experience extends to performing as Staff Internist, Director of Intensive Care Unit, and Medical Director at several large veterinary referral hospitals in Massachusetts.
Dr. Kintzer is available for internal medicine and dermatology referrals. His specialty includes endoscopy procedures, ultrasound examinations, intra-dermal skin testing and specific chemotherapy protocols.
