Dr. Meesters, born and raised in the Netherlands, graduated from Ghent University School of Veterinary Medicine in Belgium in 2000. After coming to the United States, she worked at Angell Memorial Hospital where she assisted in the various specialties of ophthalmology, cardiology, and surgery. Dr. Meesters completed her clinical training at Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine and served an internship at Angell Memorial Hospital from June of 2003 to July of 2004. We welcomed Dr. Meesters to our staff in October of 2004.
Dr. Meesters enjoys living in New Hampshire where she can enjoy the recreational activities of hiking, camping, rock climbing, and water skiing. Dr. Meesters also holds a brown belt in Aikido, the Japanese martial art of self-defense based on harmony with the environment. She resides in Chelmsford, MA with her husband, Bart. Also included in her family are a Brittany Spaniel named Sipke, and a grey domestic cat named Pruts.
Dr. Meesters is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
